Vida and her new pups!

Our dog Vida just let out four pups at dawn yesterday! It was so surreal. As a mom myself I kind of felt her pain and to think she had to push four times. (Actually, it was supposedly six pups but the first and last one died.) I can't believe it happened and what a blessing.

Now, she is feeding overtime and she does not want to leave them even for one bit. We are trying to get some blankets here for them to counteract with the cold and rainy days. But so far so good. Vida is only eating chicken, which is kind of an expense but because she is recovering, it's all good. We love this dog from the get go and it's no different now that she has newborns. They are great addition to the family.
