Been Upto

Lately I've been really busy. I know people say it all the time. It's become more of a cliche. Sometimes they mean it, other times they have to use it as necessity. But, to express the least I am becoming more hands on with my kid which I really like.

Dwayne, since his birthday last week has rapidly been learning too much. So much so that he has gained confidence in walking alone and enjoying the ropes of playing ball and identifying animals. Yes, I said it. We have animals in our house ranging from dog, to birds to even chickens. My father I think has a thing about them. It's really quite a chore for all of us but sometimes it's good to be animal friendly once in a while.

I'm always in awe at how my kid grow so fast. It feels like I just popped him out of my tummy and now he's trying to be like an adult, trying to do everything on his own. Even climbing ladders has been one of his curiosities and opening boxes here and there. Pretty much all he hears from me is nooo Dwayne, not that.. oh..no..come here...and he's just getting started.

 But all is well. I love the fact that he's making huge steps now. And that he's getting there. Making memories with him as much as I can is what I really aim for. It's not everyday he remains a year old. He moves on. And in a far away future, for sure he's going to have to move out and have a life of his own. For now, he is with us and we like that way.

As parents, all we ever want is the best for our son. I think by taking the time and spending it with him, we're doing one good step at a time.
