Leaves are swaying back and forth for only a minuscule of effect. It's not loud, seeking attention but it's there. You see it. Jeepneys, buses, trucks and even the most raging motorcycles run from one point to the next. Everybody seems to be heading somewhere. One man is hovering over another asking what in the world is taking these people so long. His clock is reminding him constantly how he has to be in some place in a matter of minutes and not a second longer. A woman is still half-dressed for a supposedly business meeting. Her make-up is still half made and eye shadows have not yet balanced her reflection. Going through her notes in her laptop while looking at the sight of a full road, she felt the frustration and necessity.
The traffic sign went green and as if it was freedom, everyone turned up their speed. It took the unusual hour before drivers got the loose. Yes, freedom! I felt it too. My hair was blown by wherever the wind goes. It was heaven. It was perfect. I let go of my troubled infliction and I just went with it. I became one with nature. So this is how it feels to loosen up, I thought. What a revelation. The smell of dust and mint of full blown reconstruction had me believed I was in the suburbs. I was in the city, a developing city that is.
I am almost minutes til I get to my destination. I am filled with ecstasy as I sail. I never want it to end. I never want it to stop. I love too much the anonymity, the power. It's exciting. It's fulfilling. But I am here. And another day starts again.

awwwn :)
