We went to Balingasag, a municipality here in Misamis Oriental to celebrate fiesta. As it is practiced here, fiestas are celebrated once a year to acknowledge and give thanks to the patron saint. This involves mainly of food, mass and some fun activities for the community. Indeed, the town was filled with people from other areas of the region, relatives and friends are invited and they join in with the fun. It was a happy day!
I found some interesting things on the road and thought, towns do not really look so apart from the city. Now, they have adapted and become modernized in some way. Still, traditions are important and practiced because that's how they are known, basically their way of living.
I agree, traditions are very important. I love seeing all your pictures of your country. Makes me miss Vietnam. :)
