Kids Grow Up So Fast

I can't believe my kid is growing up and fast. Last Monday, I took him to the mall, well primarily to take my head off something and to also expose him to other kids playing. He will be turning to 2 on September 14 and because there are not much kids in the house, I wanted to check what he was like around kids his age. I wanted to also let him learn that there is a world out there full of kids that he can mingle and interact with. 

So many things amused me when we went there. I learned that my kid loves new places. By the time we arrived in the mall, he was all over the place. He ran, blabbered stuff and just the environment, probably because it was air-conditioned too. I also learned that he could be a good big brother because as he was playing and observing all other kids, he was always saying something. I did not understand it but based on his expression, it could be telling them to be careful. 

Most surprising thing probably was when he introduced me to his new found friend. He said ma-ma and he pointed at me and the little girl looked at me and smiled. It was the sweetest thing. But really I wish for him all that he can be. As a mom, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your kid become the best at what he wants. So many things I can aspire for him but soon he will find his own place in the world. As for now, I am enjoying discovering inch by inch of his being. I hope to witness more.
