Well, that is life. You cannot expect everyone to stay. So, I just realized that:

- COOKING is NOT easy!!! I mean I just fried fish last night and I literally ruined it making all the skin fall off from the meat. I was rather ashamed. Lesson learned: put the fish when the oil is hot enough so it won't stick to the pan. (Stuff like this I forget when I don't usually do the cooking. Must go back to basics.)
- CLEANING a TWO FLOOR HOUSE can be exhausting. I thought that big spaces are better but as I have been the one doing the cleaning lately, I'd rather have a smaller space that way I have less time to clean it and smaller space to organize.
- The trick to any ACTIVE KID is to ALWAYS keep them interested. My kid is super HYPER-ACTIVE so when we are downstairs and I decide I'd do some cleaning, I turn on his favorite show like Upin Ipin, Boboi Boy, Pororo, Phineas and Ferb or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to keep him behaved while I do something else. (Bear in mind that this trick can go for at most 10 minutes, after that you need to give him something else.So better be quick!)
- I make it a point the he SLEEPS at least TWO hours per day. Since this is the time I actually can work in the computer without having any distraction.
- I know that BARNEY is overrated but he loves HIM! So I give him TIME to watch his favorite show so I can check my networking sites or blog like this. Funny thing, I turn the PC monitor in half. He gets the other half for Barney while I have the other half for my blogging. How's that huh?
- When you try to do it all. You MUST be quick and have time MANAGEMENT. So that you can still do all of the needed stuff in a day without your house looking like a tornado.
- ANY HELP is better than nothing at all. So, once a week Dwayne goes to his grandparents' house. This way I can continue with work I did not accomplish the week before.
- In the afternoon, if there is NO RAIN, I see to it that my kid goes out in the lawn to PLAY whether on his own or with other kids. He has to exercise and be able to interact specially in this age.
- Lastly, I have to have my GOOD NIGHT SLEEP. This is the only time my body is re-charged so AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, I take early sleep.
What are your challenges these days? How do you cope? Any tricks for your kids to get them to behave or sleep? I'd love to know.
