FAMOUS DRINKS IN VIETNAM

I can't even begin describing Vietnam. My first perception was similar in the Philippines' setting, basically third world. But to my delight, Vietnam is way ahead of Philippines, structure and economy wise.

I was super lucky to have been invited by my sister, Rexa and mom Anita, to spend a week in Vietnam specifically in Ho Chi Minh City where they currently live and work. Me, together with my baby son and partner went there with much excitement and adventure. I was thinking of food really. But more than anything else, I am addicted to their drinks.

Here are my favorite Vietnamese drinks of all time:

1. CA PHE SUA DA

This street coffee drink is the best! It's always my thing to drink coffee in the morning but this one I can drink three times a day and I'd feel better every time. This type of coffee is filled with ice cubes, mixed with their own coffee produce added with milk, it's heaven!

Even their 3 in 1 coffee drink bought in the grocery store are way more tasty and delicious than ours here in the Philippines, honestly. Nestle got nothing compared to this.

This one is super tasty.

2. ICED TEA w/o SUGAR or CHA DA

The locals don't really drink soda. Almost in every restaurant or eatery we go to, this is what they serve instead. This drink is super amazing. For one, you don't need to watch out for your sugar intake. Second, you don't have to pay for it because most local restaurants don't charge for this. Third, it's filled with ice cubes which satisfies your already worn out body.

3. SUGAR CANE JUICE

This is for the sweet tooth. Again, filled with ice cube, a lot of it and added with pure sugar cane juice to perfection. One of the best I've ever had!

4. SAIGON BEER

Red is for men and green is for women.

Saigon Beer is very famous in Ho Chi Minh. When you go to bars, this only costs 10,000 dong which is Php20 in Philippine money. It's so good. It's not too strong but you will taste every bit of it down your throat.

There are also other beers like 333 or Ba Ba Ba which in one can you will feel as if you are carrying heavy loads. You'll dose off earlier than you think. To add is Heineken which is one good beer too. And Tiger Beer, equally strong as well.

This was on my birthday.

These are on top of my list so far. Will post some of my other favorites soon.
