Kiddie Outing under Php300 or $7.00!
We headed to one of the BIG malls here in Cagayan de Oro yesterday. It was perfect timing. I was feeling a little off and I needed some fresh air, well actually air-conditioned air to just pass off time. And my mom sent Php300 for Dwayne just to spend on anything. I decided it would really make his day to go out and have fun riding cars and train. If you'd like, I have a bunch of photos on what we did within Php300 budget ($7).
There was this super cute stall along the mall where they sell bite size ice cream! They are so adorable. For five different flavors, you only pay Php29 (just under a dollar!) My kid is not really a fan of ice cream since it's cold and his taste buds are not so favorable of it yet. But it's sort of an introduction for him. I love it because you are not obliged to eat it quickly since it is bite size. You don't have to worry that it will be melting and you don't have to look like you're having trouble with your ice cream at all.
By the way, the cart that he drives around is Php40 per hour. It's quite expensive but it makes him behave and not troll or run all over the place. So it's a great bargain for me. I don't have to go after him every minute or worry he's up to something somewhere. He loves CARS so he thinks he's really the one driving.
We hopped in the Kiddie Train that roams around the mall. Now, this is quite expensive because its Php30 per head even kids! But I had to let him ride this one because he always sees trains on TV and Barney shows that it wouldn't feel right for him not to experience it. And POPCORN is always great for snacking. I picked the medium sized for Php40 and he LOVES it!!!
So we went around the 2nd floor of the mall just to see what's there. I happen to get inside the SURPLUS Shop and reminded myself this was Dwayne's day. I can buy for myself some other time. But it was fun for him walking around. Another change of scene.
We found another toy car on the 2nd floor but I didn't put a token on it. As experienced before, he got scared of the moving car that goes back and forth. He had fun just spinning the steering wheel so that was enough for me too. Also, we bought some books for him. For four books, I paid Php70.00 (almost $2) at the BOOKSALE. He loves it and I love it too. Win-Win.
Total expense is actually less than Php300. Remaining few bucks will be used and added the next time we go on a trip for Dwayne.
